Nikki and Chris are an amazingly cute and fun couple. They decided to get married on a Sunday at the Rivermill in Columbus, GA. The wedding was awesome and the reception was full of dancing!

wedding :: Rachel and Josh

It’s not often that I get a chance to shoot a wedding on the beach, much less on the GA Coast… so when Rachel and Josh asked me to shoot their wedding on Jekyll Island, my mind was literally racing around with excitement. My dad and I have an annual hunting trip that we take to Sapelo Island which is really close to Jekyll, so I have fallen in love with scenery on the Georgia coastal area. Flat beaches, mossy oak tree, cool ocean breezes…. aaaagh… I’m missing it badly right now.

Anyhow, Shalon and I made the trip to Jekyll for Rachel and Josh’s wedding and man what a trip it was. I truly believe God has his hand in this day. It’s usually very hot and nasty during the summertime and the bugs are horrible. BUT, for Rachel and Josh’s wedding, the day was blessed with an awesome breeze that kept everything cool and bugless. This made our formals trip to Driftwood Beach a very pleasurable one. In most cases, you’re fighting gnats and mosquitoes while your there.

The ceremony and reception were both held at the Beachview Club, located on right on the beach. The rooms were awesome and the scenery is amazing. I can’t wait to make another trip back (a personal trip for sure).

So on to the pictures. I ended up with a ton of great images from this wedding and I couldn’t choose just a handful of the best so I might have gone a little overboard with posting images… which means more eye candy for you…

Special thanks to my good friend, Cindy, who drove up from Gainesville, FL to second shoot this wedding with me. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE shooting with Cindy. Check out her blog if you get a chance. :) And a big thanks to my wife, Shalon, for making the trip with me.

By the by, this was a total idea rip from Jeff Newsom. Props to him for the light inspiration and hope he doesn’t get mad for the copycat image. :)

This shoot was actually put on by mi amigo, Josh Whitley, and I so I was able to get a couple of shots in for the first location of the shoot. I love shooting like this b/c it give me the opportunity to practice some different styles of shooting and editing… Thanks Julia for modeling for us and Josh for setting this up.

I’m so excited to finally get to post these bridals. Eric and Dara were married a few weeks back and unfortunately, I’ve been a tad bit busy so I’m just getting to get these images on the blog.

Dara was an awesome bride. Her dress was gorgeous and so was she. And that combination makes my job a bit easier. :)

engaged :: Lindsey and Wes

I have been blessed beyond all I know to be able to do what I do. I get to watch first hand the love and admiration that couples have for each other. With Lindsey and Wes, there’s no exception. These two were a blast to hang out with and to photograph.

Our first stop was at the River Center, in Columbus. Stop two was supposed to be at Callaway, but on the way we made a detour to a field near by and we had so much fun that we didn’t even make it to our last destination.

I am ecstatic to be shooting their wedding! Congratulations Lindsey and Wes!

engaged :: Susan and Dave

I’ve known Dave for several years now and I was super stoked when he asked me to shoot his wedding with Susan. These two are absolutely made for each other and their chemistry is superb. :-)

I always say that there should still be flirting in a marriage; even years beyond the day you say “I do.”. And with Susan and Dave, I’m sure that will never be a problem.

Congratulations Susan and Dave! I can’t wait to see you guys on your wedding day. :-)

family :: Hollifields

This session started as a family session with the Hollifields and ended as a baby session… lol. Anna Grace was so much fun to shoot. She’s adorable and cute.

We started off the session at Callaway Gardens and ended in a field near by that made for a perfect setting for some great photographs of Anna Grace.

wedding :: Erin and Matt

Back in the day when I used to actually go downtown, I would frequent The Loft because on any given weekend, you’d find a fantastic up and coming band playing way into the night. Not the mention, Comedy Night was also a fun show to visit. :)

I say this because Erin and Matt both work for The Loft and for their wedding they held their reception there. The wedding was an absolute blast. Mix an awesome DJ and very talented band together at one reception and you have one night that you’ll never forget. Oh and did I mention that dinner was at The Loft Downstairs? Oh and what about the musical talents of Jason Connelly playing some great songs while the guests ate? Unforgettable!

Ok, enough chatter and on to the pictures. Erin and Matt, thanks for allowing me to be a part of such an awesome night and thanks to Amanda Kempisty for the assistance.

wedding :: Adrienne and Steve

I had the pleasure of shooting pictures for Adrienne and Steve last year and little did I know that Steve would later propose to Adrienne soon after that. So when it came time to look for a photographer for their wedding, they called me up and I was happy to accept.. These two have been a blast to work with and I hope that I get to have them in front of my camera again soon.
